Mazda CX-8 - 7-seat SUV on sale from December
The three-row SUV goes on sale in Japan next month, alongside its similarly designed sibling, the CX-9.

The CX-8 is 4,900 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, and 1,730 mm high, making it 165 mm shorter and 130 mm narrower than its predecessor, the CX-9. The new model will compete in the Land of the Rising Sun alongside the 7-seat Honda CR-V, despite being 300 mm longer.
The CX-8 inherits the company's Kodo design with LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels, while higher-end versions add LED fog lights, roof racks and 19-inch wheels.
The interior is designed with 3 rows of seats, 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome-plated decorative control panel, 7-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, 239-liter luggage compartment, which can be increased to 572 liters if the 3rd row of seats is folded.
Customers have the option of Nappa leather upholstery, wood paneling, and a second row of two single seats, separated by a center console, with a USB charging port.
Mazda CX-8 is equipped with a 2.2-liter SkyActiv-D 4-cylinder diesel engine, 187 horsepower, maximum torque of 450 Nm. SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive and i-Activ 2-wheel drive options.
In addition, the Japan-exclusive SUV also has i-Activsense safety and driver assistance systems such as smart brake assist, Adaptive LED Headlights, lane departure warning, rear collision warning and blind spot warning support.
