Regarding the controversial shares in Truong Giang's live show, MC Thanh Trung has become the character that many comedians have brought out to dissect.

MC Thành Trung chính thức lên tiếng về phát ngôn động chạm
Thanh Trung and Truong Giang

MC Thanh Trung expressed: "I would like to tell everyone again what happened in Truong Giang's show in Saigon. It was a night of heavy rain and the audience filled the Trong Dong stage. There were audience members wearing raincoats sitting half an hour before the show started. When I stepped onto the stage and saw that image, I felt moved and said: As a Northern artist, I feel the happiness of Southern artists when receiving such support from the audience. Because we are artists in Hanoi, sometimes when we perform in the theater, looking down at the seats, there are only 3 or 4 rows of seats with audience."

Also according to MC Thanh Trung, because he witnessed it as an actor, he expressed it like that and did not think that his statement would become a topic for comedians from the North and South to talk about.

The male MC emphasized in his statement that there is no comparison of the talent or appeal of artists between the North and South because each artist in the two regions has their own unique features, acting features or abilities that are suitable for the culture of the region where they live, that is the way the audience loves the artists.

"The enthusiasm of some reporters created a misunderstanding, so I think the story should not have happened" - MC Thanh Trung said.

Thanh Trung shared that Southern audiences have a different way of loving artists than Northern audiences. He said: "In Saigon, no matter who the audience is or what job they do, they are willing to spend money to buy tickets regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors. Meanwhile, audiences in Hanoi also love artists but support them by sitting at home and turning on the TV to watch programs featuring those artists.

In Hanoi, audiences who spend money to buy tickets to sit at the theater or outside are usually people with income, while ordinary people rarely or never do. That also explains why there are fewer venues and fewer stages in Hanoi than in Ho Chi Minh City."

According to Thanh Trung, every year in Ho Chi Minh City, comedians have their own live shows. They all receive support from the audience. Meanwhile, in Hanoi, not all artists dare to do live shows, simply because it is not because of talent, but because they always think about whether the audience will come to support them or not, even though they love them very much, but they have a completely different way of expressing themselves. And that way of supporting them does not give them the confidence to do their own live shows.

"For theaters with socialized stages in Saigon, we see that there are nights when tickets are sold out a month in advance. There are plays where audiences line up to buy tickets, while in Hanoi, there are plays that are not always full. There are nights when there is only half an audience. There are nights when there is a third of the audience. This has been true for many years, so artists are always concerned about how to attract more and more audiences, but this is very difficult because culture is in the subconscious of Hanoi audiences," this handsome MC said.

Thanh Trung said he wanted to speak only once about this issue to close the matter so that those who are still arguing and wondering will understand better. "I am proud to be an artist standing on the Northern stage and at this time also participating in some Southern stages, so I understand very well the way the audience of the two regions loves and it is clear that with the audience loving me by coming to support me directly, they will have the opportunity to live and live well compared to the audience only coming to watch when they are given free tickets or programs through television.

I would also like to say that those who use my words to create conflicts between artists from the North and the South should not do so because whether North or South, we are all Vietnamese and must learn from each other. Southern artists learn from Northern artists because of their depth and detail. Northern artists must learn from Southern artists about professionalism, self-renewal, and updating."
