(Baonghean.vn) - Perhaps there is no greater pain than the pain that Mr. Tran Ngoc Thao and his wife, Ms. Hoang Thi Hoi, have been and are experiencing. Their family is poor, their eldest daughter passed away not long ago, their two sons have contracted thrombocytopenic purpura and their lives are in danger at any moment, and now they are even more devastated because Ms. Hoi has just been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Nỗi đau số phận liên tiếp đổ xuống gia đình anh Trần Ngọc Thảo và chị Hợi
The pain of fate continues to fall on the family of Mr. Tran Ngoc Thao and Ms. Hoang Thi Hoi.

Meeting Mr. Tran Ngoc Thao (Hamlet 11, Thanh Ha Commune, Thanh Chuong District) at Nghe An Oncology Hospital, while talking, he could not hide his tears. Sadness, bitterness and helplessness appeared in every look and gesture of the man who had just turned 50. These days, Mr. Thao is on duty, taking care of his wife at the Emergency Resuscitation Department. Mr. Thao's wife, Hoang Thi Hoi, is 48 years old this year, and has been hospitalized for more than 4 days with symptoms of chest pain and difficulty breathing. According to information from the hospital, Ms. Hoi currently has many tumors in both lungs, with pleural effusion on the left. Her condition is severe and according to two possibilities, it is due to primary lung cancer or metastasis from other organs.

Mr. Thao's family has been a poor household in Thanh Ha commune for many years. His family's life mainly depends on a few fields. In recent years, disasters have continuously befallen the family. The poor family became even more destitute after each disaster.

Vì gia cảnh quá khó khăn chị Hoàng Thị Hợi một mực đo
Because her family situation was so difficult, Ms. Hoang Thi Hoi insisted on returning home, refusing medical treatment to save money to take care of her children.

Mr. Thao and Ms. Hoi have 4 children, only the second daughter is in stable health. The eldest daughter, Tran Thi Thom, and the two younger brothers all suffer from incurable diseases. Thom has had lupus since she was young. Her family is poor and cannot afford to take her to the doctor, so no one in the family knows. When the disease is in its final stages, it is too late. Thom died of this disease in 2014, when she was just 22 years old. What is even more heartbreaking is that Thom was only 10 days away from getting married.

Fate still did not spare that small house. The third son, Tran Van The, now 21 years old, also suffered from thrombocytopenic purpura (blood clotting disorder) since he was 7 years old. Not long after that, the youngest son, Tran Ngoc Thang, now 9 years old, also suffered from the same disease as his older brother.

All the family burdens now depend on Mr. Tran Ngoc Thao.

Over the past ten years, disasters have exhausted Mr. Thao's family both physically and mentally. However, every month he and his wife have to take their two children to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Nghe An General Hospital for examination and treatment. "But there is no money, sometimes it takes months to take the children for examination. Being a father and mother, not being able to take care of their children is heartbreaking. But fate does not let me go. I do not want to stay here anymore. I do not want to be treated anymore." - Ms. Hoi said in tears. While Mr. Thao was choked up and unable to speak, Ms. Hoi insisted on going home, refusing to be treated to save money for her children.

I hope the community will join hands to help Mr. Thao and Ms. Hoi's family overcome the harshness of fate.
