Simple tips to help you not get tired when traveling by train or car
Motion sickness causes fatigue and discomfort and is a "horror" for many people when forced to travel by train or car.
Dr. Le Van Tuan - Department of Internal Medicine, Cho Ray Hospital, Deputy Head of the Department of Neurology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, said that when traveling by train or car, the biggest problem we encounter is motion sickness with typical symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness... This is a normal reaction to stimuli that the body cannot adapt to.
According to Dr. Tuan's explanation, the cause of motion sickness is that the sensitive part that maintains balance in the ear is abnormally stimulated, or because the brain receives signals from the eyes but they are not consistent with the signals from the ears, for example, when traveling by train without windows, the ears indicate that it is moving, while the eyes give the feeling that it is not moving.

Secrets to reduce fatigue
According to Dr. Le Van Tuan, the best way to prevent motion sickness is to take motion sickness medication. However, people with a history of dizziness or vomiting when traveling by car or train should limit their travel.
When you have to move, you should find a cool seat, preferably the front or middle seat, avoid bumpy movements, do not sit at the end, near the wheel.
If you are sitting in the front, focus your attention on a stationary point in the distance. On an airplane, choose a seat near the wing.
When driving, you should not look sideways but look straight ahead, try to sleep in the car to forget the feeling of motion sickness.
Before getting on the bus, you should eat and drink at least one hour before departure, avoid fatty foods, alcohol and stimulants such as tea and coffee. In particular, when traveling, you should not read books, newspapers or write as this can cause dizziness and discomfort.
How to avoid motion sickness with ginger
Master, physician Vu Quoc Trung also said that for many people, anti-motion sickness medicine is ineffective.
Nowadays, there are many ways to treat motion sickness using traditional medicine or small tips such as using ginger tea, sucking ginger, smelling bread, eating and smelling lemon peel, tangerine peel...
About 30 minutes before departure, you should take a piece of fresh ginger the size of your thumb, peel it, wash it, crush it or chew it and drink it with a cup of warm water. During the journey, you should occasionally suck on a piece of ginger.
Raw ginger has a very good anti-vomiting effect. Therefore, using ginger to treat motion sickness is both effective and has no side effects.
You can also use ginger candy instead. Ginger candy has sweetness that will help people traveling by train or car increase brain circulation, reduce dizziness and headaches.
