By answering multiple-choice questions, participants have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, national history and the Communist Party of Vietnam, knowledge of the Youth Union, Student Association, the quintessence of human culture, the country's development achievements in the renovation period; and contents related to election work.

Through the contest, it contributes to equipping cadres, union members, youth, students with scientific knowledge about Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and social sciences and humanities; contributing to shaping the personality, worldview, and outlook on life for the young generation; at the same time demonstrating the responsibility of the young generation for the success of the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

The Olympic competition on Marxist-Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology will start at 10am on April 19, 2016; the competition will be held weekly and 11 prizes will be awarded each week. The competition will last for 4 weeks and will end on May 19, 2016.
