Fun gifts for students before exams in New Zealand

A group of teachers at a high school in New Zealand have created a funny, humorous music video to cheer up their students ahead of their GCSE exams next week.

A funny and cute music video was posted on Facebook and Youtube, but no one expected that the “actors” and “singers” in the video were teachers from Fraser High School, in Hamilton, New Zealand. This video was made to motivate students before taking exams.

The music video posted on social media features teachers lip-syncing to Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling.

In this music video, teachers dance everywhere, in the classroom, staff room, school yard,... with funny and humorous looks.

The person who uploaded the music video to YouTube, digital literacy teacher Samuel Tan, told the NZHerald that the video was a fun gift for students ahead of their NCEA exams (for years 11, 12, 13) next week.

“We want to wish our final year students the best of luck in their exams,” he said. And he said that through this video, the teachers have shown everyone that teachers are human beings like everyone else.

“We might change things up a bit with the silly look to hopefully help students have a little more fun before they take the exam,” Mr Tan added.

Mr Tan said the students showed interest in the music video when they watched it at school on their final class reunion on November 3.
