A poor worker from Nghe An died in Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - While walking to buy Tet gifts in Laos to return to Vietnam for Tet, a woman from the border commune of Tam Hop (Tuong Duong) had a traffic accident and died in the neighboring country.
On the morning of January 31, Ms. Luong Thi Dao - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Hop Commune, Tuong Duong District, said: At about 22:30 on January 30, the vehicle carrying the body of victim Luong Thi Huong (born in 1973), residing in Xop Nam village, Tam Hop Commune (Tuong Duong) arrived home, after nearly a day of travel.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 29, Ms. Huong was walking to buy Tet gifts in Bolikhamxay province (Laos), to return home for Tet, when she was involved in a traffic accident and died.

According to the local authorities, the victim's family is in a very difficult situation and is considered a particularly poor household in the commune. Ms. Huong is a single mother with a daughter who is currently studying in grade 11C at Tuong Duong 1 High School. To pay for her daughter's education, Ms. Huong had to go to Laos to work to earn money since the beginning of 2018.
