A day of experience in the military environment

On March 27, Artillery Battalion 14, Division 324 (Military Region 4) hosted 300 officers, teachers, parents and students of Hung Binh Primary School, Vinh City (Nghe An) to visit, study and experience at the unit.

During the day, officers, teachers, parents and students were organized by officers and soldiers of Battalion 14 to visit the accommodation, training, production and livestock areas; heard about the traditions of the army, Military Region, Division and experienced the lifestyle of soldiers, and had communal meals at the unit.

Through the field trip and study tour, the aim is to help officers and students better understand the training and practice tasks of officers and soldiers of the unit and the heroic tradition of the army, the great sacrifices of previous generations to achieve peace like today.

Nguyen Thien Nhan, a 5D student at Hung Binh Primary School, said: “This is the first time I have seen with my own eyes the training and working life of the soldiers. I see the hardships of their lives in training as well as in increasing production. Through this experience, I love them even more. I will study hard to become a soldier in the future.”

According to Mr. Tran Xuan Khang - Principal of Hung Binh Primary School: "Through one day, cadres, teachers, parents and students will understand more about the heroic historical tradition of the unit and the Vietnam People's Army, arouse the spirit of solidarity, equip basic knowledge of life skills, social practice skills, military science knowledge, train creativity and discipline for teenagers...".

The program has left good feelings and valuable experiences for the school's staff, teachers and students; promoted ardent patriotism; and enhanced the responsibility of staff, teachers and students in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland today and in the future.
