On the morning of October 18, Ms. Mong Thi Phoai, a Khmu ethnic resident in Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district, showed signs of impending labor, so her relatives hired a taxi to take her to the district health center. On the way, about 1 km after passing the Huu Lap commune health station, Ms. Phoai went into labor.

In an emergency, the people who were with them drove their motorbikes back to the Huu Lap Commune Health Station to ask for help from the staff there. However, before they could reach the station, the baby was born and a birth took place right on the side of the road.

Ms. Luong Thi Nhung - obstetrician and pediatrician at Huu Lap Commune Health Station, who directly assisted in this special birth, said: Upon hearing the news, the two of us immediately got in the car and left. When we arrived, Ms. Phoai's water had broken and she was in labor. We immediately used plastic to cover her so she could give birth on the side of the road. The taxi carrying the mother also stopped to protect the mother and child.

The birth was successful, mother and child were healthy, the baby weighed 3.2 kg.

Fortunately, the birth went smoothly, both mother and child were safe. Ms. Phoai gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 3.2 kg. After giving birth, both mother and child were transferred to Huu Lap Commune Health Station for care.
