According to Mr. Hung, on the afternoon of October 6, Mr. Hung drove 4 guests to a karaoke bar in Hamlet 2, Nghi An Commune, Vinh City. Because these people told the driver to wait, so that when they finished singing, he could take them home and calculate the fee, so Mr. Hung sat on a chair in front of the bar's lobby.

There, seeing a passenger in his car having a conflict with a group of about 10 young men, Mr. Hung stepped in to stop them. Suddenly, a young man elbowed Mr. Hung in the face, then the other group rushed in and beat the driver.

After being hit in the face, Mr. Hung tried to escape and ran out into the street, but was chased and beaten again. Although the victim begged, the group did not stop. Only when Mr. Hung collapsed on the spot did the group leave.

After the incident, Nghi An Commune Police and 113 police force quickly arrived at the scene and made a record of the incident.

According to information, the group of young people who participated in the assault on driver Hung mainly reside in Nghi An commune. Some of them have criminal records for intentional injury.
