Buying floating cooking oil, labeled Tuong An, selling 500 liters/day to the market

(Baonghean.vn)- After 1 month of monitoring, at 3:00 a.m. on September 27, 2017, the Vinh City Police Environmental Police Team discovered and seized a large quantity of cooking oil of unknown origin.

At house number 10 Phung Khac Khoan street, Hung Dung ward, Vinh city, the Environmental Police Team of Vinh city police discovered and caught red-handed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan (born in 1972), residing in Quan Bau ward (Vinh city), in the act of decanting a large quantity of cooking oil of unknown origin into Tuong An oil cans.

At the scene, the police discovered 5 tanks containing cooking oil, each holding 1,000 liters, of which 121 Tuong An brand cans, each holding 25 liters, and 30 Tuong An oil can shells had been transferred.

The environmental police force has drawn up a record to seize 5,100 liters of cooking oil without documents proving its origin that had been packed into Tuong An brand cooking oil cans.

According to the initial statement, Nguyen Quoc Tuan supplied 5,000 liters of cooking oil to the market every day for restaurants and eateries in Vinh city and surrounding areas. Tuan bought this amount of cooking oil floating in Cua Lo town and packed it into cans labeled Tuong An oil to sell on the market for profit.

Currently, Vinh City police are completing the case file to handle according to the provisions of law.
