Salaries and allowances of officials and civil servants from July 1, 2018

Based on the current salary and allowance coefficients prescribed in documents of competent agencies of the Party and State on salary regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, the levelbase salaryprescribed in Decree 72/2018/ND-CP (effective from July 1, 2018) to calculate salary, allowance and reserve difference coefficient (if any) as follows:

1. Salary

Salary effective from July 1, 2018 = 1,390,000 VND/month x Current salary coefficient

2. Allowances

- For allowances calculated based on basic salary

Allowance level implemented from July 1, 2018 = VND 1,390,000/month x Current allowance coefficient

- For allowances calculated as a % of current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the framework (if any).

Allowance level implemented from July 1, 2018 = [Salary implemented from July 1, 2018 + Leadership position allowance implemented from July 1, 2018 (if any) + Seniority allowance exceeding the framework implemented from July 1, 2018 (if any)] x Percentage of allowance enjoyed according to regulations

- For allowances specified in specific amounts, keep them according to current regulations.

3. The amount of the reserve difference coefficient

The amount of the reserve difference coefficient implemented from July 1, 2018 = VND 1,390,000/month x Current reserve difference coefficient (if any).

Note: The subjects applying the above salary and allowance levels are the following cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers:

- Cadres and civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget working in Party and State agencies, political and social organizations at the central level; at the provincial level; at the district level; and in special administrative-economic units.

- Civil servants in the leadership and management apparatus and public employees receive salaries from the salary fund of public service units according to the provisions of law.

- Cadres, civil servants and public employees are mobilized or seconded to work at associations, non-governmental organizations, projects and international agencies and organizations located in Vietnam according to decisions of competent authorities.

- Cadres, civil servants at the commune level and non-professional workers at the commune level, in villages and residential groups as prescribed in Decree 92/2009/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree 29/2013/ND-CP).
