New hospital fees for people without health insurance cards from January 15, 2019
This is the highlight of Circular 37/2018/TT-BYT on the maximum price range for medical examination and treatment services not covered by the Health Insurance Fund in State medical facilities.
Accordingly, the maximum price (including direct costs and salaries) for medical examination services at State-owned health facilities is reduced compared to Circular No.02/2017/TT-BYTas follows:
- Maximum examination fee at special-class hospitals and class I hospitals is reduced from VND 39,000/visit to VND 37,000/visit;
- Maximum examination fee at level II hospital reduced from 35,000 VND/visit to 33,000 VND/visit;
- Maximum examination fee at level III hospital reduced from 31,000 VND/visit to 29,000 VND/visit;
- Maximum examination fee at level IV hospitals and commune health stations is reduced from 29,000 VND/visit to 26,000 VND/visit.

In addition, Circular 37 also announces:
Maximum price range for treatment bed day service in Appendix II;
Maximum price range for technical and testing services in Appendix III;
Supplement notes of some technical services that have been classified as equivalent by the Ministry of Health in the Decisions of the Ministry of Health in Appendix IV.
Circular 37/2018/TT-BYT takes effect from January 15, 2019.
