According to Mr. Ho Van Luu (49 years old) - a long-time onion farmer in Hamlet 1, Quynh Luong Commune: To cope with the hot weather, onion growers must increase the number of times they water their fields and extend the duration of each watering session, to ensure enough water for the onions to grow well. Many families have not installed a sprinkler system, so they have to carry water pipes to water the fields. On sunny days, people have to go to the fields to spray and water about 5-6 times a day.
