Borrow your friend's motorbike to pawn for money to go sing karaoke
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 14, the People's Court of Tan Ky district (Nghe An) tried the criminal case against Tran Van Vuong (born in 1998, residing in Tan Ky town) for the crime of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property".
At around 1:30 p.m. on October 23, 2019, Vuong called Nguyen Van Tai (born in 2002, residing in Tan Trung hamlet, Huong Son commune, Tan Ky district) and said: "Come to my house and let me borrow your motorbike to go to work for a bit."
About 15 minutes later, Mr. Tai rode a YAMAHA EXCITER motorbike, license plate: 37N1-138.92 to Vuong's house. After borrowing the motorbike, Vuong drove to a roadside cafe near the roundabout in Block 2, Tan Ky town to have a drink.

Here, Vuong contacted two friends in Anh Son district via Facebook and invited them to Tan Ky district to play and sing karaoke.
At this time, because he had no money to spend, Vuong had the idea of pawning the motorbike he had just borrowed from Mr. Tai. Thinking so, Vuong drove his motorbike to the house of Mr. Nguyen Viet Chin (commonly known as Chin Thin, born in 1988, residing in Giang Son Dong commune, Do Luong district) to pawn the motorbike for 6,000,000 VND.
Vuong spent all of this money on personal use. On November 6, 2019, Mr. Tai wrote a petition to the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Ky District Police to denounce Tran Van Vuong's actions.
On November 8, 2019, realizing that his behavior was a violation of the law, Vuong went to the police station to surrender.
In the asset valuation conclusion No. 35/KLĐG-HDĐG dated November 11, 2019 of the Asset Valuation Council of Tan Ky District People's Committee, it was concluded that the YAMAHA EXCITER motorbike, license plate: 37N1-138.92 of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung is worth 27,000,000 VND.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Tran Van Vuong to 12 months in prison.
