"If they want to come into our country, they will cooperate," Mr Kelly said in an interview with Sky News.
The minister did not rule out tightening security measures in issuing visas. The official said the new measures would likely apply first to citizens of Muslim countries that Mr. Trump sought to deny entry.
"We are not ruling out some additional checks. We may need not only your passport but also information about the websites you visit. To do this, we will ask for your social network passwords," John Kelly said.
However, the US Secretary of Homeland Security said that the deadline for tightening visa regulations has not been determined.
