The US is trying to tighten the noose on the maritime boundary around Russia.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Russian Navy's fleet has begun monitoring US destroyers in the Baltic and Black Seas. Several military experts commented on the situation in an interview with Sputnik news agency.

The National Defense Management Center announced that Baltic Fleet forces are escorting two US Navy destroyers, Gravely and Porter, into the southern part of the Baltic Sea.
Also last week, the US Navy announced that the destroyer USS Donald Cook had been sent to the Black Sea "to conduct security operations." The US destroyer's actions were monitored by the Russian patrol ship Pytlivy.
The State Duma (the lower house of the Russian parliament) called the dispatch of destroyers to the Black Sea an "abuse of Russia's peace-loving goodwill and wisdom," noting that Washington's policy cannot continue indefinitely.
"The demonstration by the presence of US ships in the Black Sea ispart of its strategy to support Ukraine. The United States actively supports Ukraine's provocations in the Kerch Strait, as well as the Ukrainian leadership's statements that they want to repeat the passage through the strait. Meanwhile, Mr. Andrei Koshkin, Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, commented on the current situation and emphasized that Russia has full capabilities to neutralize any threats.
He commented: "The situation has become worse mainly due to the fault of the United States. President Donald Trump declared the start of a new wave of "Star Wars".
For the US, ship-based missile defence systems are a priority. The Americans are trying to tighten the noose on the maritime border around Russia, but they need to take into account that Moscow has the ability to neutralize this threat.
All ships of the United States and other NATO member states are escorted by our fleet, Russian naval ships not only control their actions, but can also neutralize the threat.
