The National Interest newspaper said that US B-52 bombers deployed in March to military bases in Europe carried out simulated nuclear attacks on Russia.

The National Interest analysis notes that the simulation of the B-52 attack was conducted on March 14 and 20 in the Kaliningrad region.

US Air Force bombers have been deployed to the UK, with the aim of what it calls "conducting joint operations with European allies and confronting global issues".

"The Air Force statement did not mention another mission of the B-52s, which is to practice nuclear strikes against Russia," the article said.

The publication noted that Russian fighters intercepted the B-52s and monitored their actions, but did not directly intervene.

In addition, Russia was accused of "quick retaliation" so on March 29, two Tu-160 nuclear bombers flew over the North Sea. This "confrontation" caused American nuclear expert Hans Christensen to express concern. According to him, this is evidence of the active phase of the new Cold War.
