America or Iran 'backs' terrorism?

The US named Iran as one of the world's leading state sponsors of terrorism, and listed six countries where it believes Iran is inciting violence.

The State Department made the accusations against Iran in its annual survey, which has previously named Iran as a top state sponsor of terrorism. The six countries where Iran’s intervention—overt or proxy—is believed to be fomenting conflict and terrorism are Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain and Afghanistan.

However, 2018 saw major changes in many parts of the Middle East. The war in Syria appeared to be winding down, and the Iraqi elections saw the rise of the previously anti-American leader Muqtada al-Sadr. Before the election, Muqtada al-Sadr was described by Western media as likely to win against an anti-Iranian candidate, and after the election was expected to form a pro-Iranian government.

Lebanon and Bahrain have not seen significant changes. However, Afghanistan remains unstable after US forces there intensified their bombing campaign more than ever since 2009.

But in Yemen, the conflict has only gotten worse, with more and more civilians being killed by US-made bombs dropped by a coalition of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

If you read the Western press, it is difficult to find the truth among the fabrications. Is Mr. al-Sads for or against Iran? Does Iran really support the Houthis in Yemen? Mohammad Marandi, an expert on American issues at the University of Tehran, spoke about the real situation in the countries where the US accuses Iran of “interfering”.

Lebanon

The Israeli invasion of Lebanon [in 2006] led to the formation of Hezbollah. It was initially a national resistance organization against the Israeli occupation. It liberated southern Lebanon, forcing Israel out of Lebanon. Hezbollah has an armed wing that works with the Lebanese army and is accepted by the state. Lebanon felt it was necessary as a deterrent against further Israeli aggression.

In fact, since the rise of extremist groups backed by Saudi Arabia and the West in Syria, including IS and al-Qaeda, controlling Lebanese territories, it was Hezbollah, together with the Lebanese army, that drove these groups out of the country. It can be said that with the help of Hezbollah, Lebanon was able toThe push back of the Israeli invasion and the existence of IS, al-Qaeda, and Nusra Front groups on Lebanese territory have just come to an end.

Syria

As in Lebanon, there are extremist groups in Syria that are supported by the US, the West, Saudi Arabia and Israel, such as Al-Qaeda and IS. In Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Russia, as well as Iraqi and Afghan volunteers, have helped to push back the extremist groups. Without this help, the black flag would have been flying everywhere in the skies over Damascus, and the same is true in Iraq.

In fact, the very countries that back extremist groups in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon are the ones promoting Wahhabism.ThisIt is similar to what happened in Afghanistan in the 1980s. The US and Saudi Arabia created extremist groups in Afghanistan and now they are doing the same thing in Syria but on a larger scale. The US policy of supporting extremists is nothing new. We saw it in Afghanistan, we saw it in Central America with the far-right and the [US-created] counter-revolutionaries in Nicaragua.

Look at the 2012 Defense Intelligence Agency report, which was partially released. The US knew very early on that in Syria, extremist groups were the strongest force fighting the government. Then, “customers” like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey and some other countries also supported these groups and they were trying to help establish a Salafist state in Syria and Iraq.

Of course, the then head of the US Defense Intelligence Agency, Michael Flynn, admitted that the US had deliberately decided to support allies and “client” countries in the region that “supported” extremist groups.

Iraq

ProblemThe problem with the Western media and Western experts is that they try to portray the situation in the region as they want it to be. The story they have created is very different from the reality on the ground. Iraq had a democratic election and the US should accept the results, but they do not want to accept them because the results paint a picture that is not comfortable for the US; like in Gaza, when Hamas won the elections, the US will not accept it. If there are elections, the results must be what the US wants, otherwise they will not accept it.

Yemen

Iran has no real presence there, because Yemen is surrounded by the US and Saudi Arabia. The US and Saudi Arabia have done something unprecedented in modern human history, which is they have used the pretext of famine across the country to force the people to “knee”.

Hundreds of thousands have died from famine and preventable diseases. Tens of thousands have died from war. Saudi Arabia has bombed everywhere, bombing schools, funerals, hospitals, school buses with impunity. They use American weapons. And they have imposed a blockade to prevent food and medicine from reaching Yemen.

Normally, you would call this a massacre or genocide. But the Western media is completely silent on this. The leader of al-Qaeda in Yemen has admitted that the group is cooperating with the Saudi-led coalition. Everywhere in the region, wherever Saudi Arabia is involved, we see either ISIS or al-Qaeda cooperating with them and the US allowing them to do so. Whether the US is directly involved or not, they are cooperating with ISIS and al-Qaeda. They allowed ISIS to rise before and now they are allowing al-Qaeda to survive.

For example, in Idlib, we know that 70% of Idlib is under al-Qaeda control. The Americans allowed it to happen. They prevented the Syrian government from launching any attacks in the area. Al-Qaeda is the same group that carried out 9/11. The whole endless “War on Terror” that the US has waged to destroy this group is actually destroying countries in the region from Afghanistan to Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen. In fact, the US is indirectly helping al-Qaeda. It is important to note that ISIS was al-Qaeda before it split off.

Bahrain

Bahrain is simple. Bahrain is a majority Shiite Muslim country but ruled by Sunni Muslims. The US, of course, supports the Sunni-led Bahraini government. Saudi Arabia has sent troops to Bahrain to help the government deal with protests across the country.

Afghanistan

In the case of Afghanistan, it is even more ridiculous. The Taliban have the same Wahhabi ideology as Saudi Arabia. The only two countries in the world that officially recognized the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan until 9/11 were Saudi Arabia and the UAE—both US allies. If the US had asked them to cut diplomatic ties, they would have done so. What is the Taliban’s ideology? Wahhabism. What is the IS ideology? Wahhabism. What is the IS ideology? Wahhabism. What is the Boko Haram ideology? Wahhabism. All of these groups take their ideology from that of America’s main ally in the region: Saudi Arabia.

Who is the world leader in sponsoring terrorism?

Speaking to Sputnik, grandfather“In my opinion, that is America,” Mirandi said./.
