On May 21, the US Department of Commerce imposed heavy taxes on steel originating from China but transported through a third party to conceal its origin to avoid being sued for dumping.
Accordingly, US customs will collect anti-dumping (AD) tax of 199.76% and anti-subsidy (CVD) tax of 256.44% on cold-rolled steel imported from Vietnam but using materials from China. The corresponding rates for anti-rust steel are 199.43% and 39.05%, respectively.
The decision of the US Department of Commerce is considered a victory for steel manufacturing companies in this country.

The Swedish government has distributed a booklet advising citizens to prepare for a surprise attack and called for contributions to the country's "total defence".
The move comes amid heated debates about security and the possibility of joining NATO in Sweden after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. Recently, Russian aircraft and submarines have also suddenly violated the country's airspace and territorial waters.
The "If crisis or war comes" guidebook was distributed to more than 4.8 million households, providing instructions on how to ensure basic needs such as food, water, temperature, the meaning of warning signals and how people can contribute to the country's "total defense".
Accordingly, all citizens aged 16 to 70 can be "summoned if there is a threat of war or war".
In the event of an attack, Sweden "will not surrender" and "any information advocating an end to resistance is incorrect".

Uber will begin its first pilot program for its technology taxi service in Japan this summer, with ambitions to conquer the difficult market of the world's third largest economy.
In a statement on May 22, Uber said that the Japanese market is relatively "picky" about service providers because passengers are not adventurous and are always loyal to the current high-quality traditional taxi service.
In major cities in Japan, it only takes a few seconds to call a taxi. This is also a big challenge for technology taxis because speed is not an advantage in this market.
