(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, August 17, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dan district summarized the 2011-2012 school year and deployed tasks for the 2012-2013 school year.
In the 2011-2012 school year, Nam Dan district implemented the school network development plan approved by the Department of Education and Training, with 27 kindergartens; 26 primary schools; 21 secondary schools; 5 high schools. Regarding the quality of education, it has done well in primary education universalization and secondary education universalization, and 10/24 communes and towns have achieved primary education universalization for 5-year-old children.

In addition to taking care of cultural education, schools have also paid great attention to comprehensive education for students through extracurricular activities and integrating life skills education, self-protection skills, environmental protection; organizing folk games, English clubs, folk singing clubs, Math for children, Golden Bell, Aerobics... The district has 1 student winning first prize at the provincial level and winning the Gold Medal at the National Math Olympiad for Children and 6 students winning at the provincial level at primary school level; 95 students won provincial prizes in the online English Olympiad at primary and secondary school levels; 41 9th grade students won provincial excellent students, ranked 9th in the province; 51 12th grade students won provincial excellent students; 36 students won prizes at the Phu Dong Sports Festival at the provincial level and 4 students won prizes at the Sports Festival in Region III. The rate of high school graduates is 99.1%. During the school year, 3 more schools met national standards, bringing the total number of schools meeting standards in the district to 37, accounting for 42%.
