Male student had his ear cut off: "He suddenly attacked and bit me"

(Baonghean.vn) - A male student suddenly bit off his friend's ear, then immediately swallowed it. Immediately after, doctors and nurses performed an endoscopy to remove the ear piece from the patient's stomach in the hope of reattaching it to the patient who was bitten.
On October 6, the health of patient Tr.D.T. (born 2003), residing in Chau Ly commune, Quy Hop district, who had his ear severed and was treated at the ENT Department of Nghe An General Hospital, has recovered.

According to T., the incident happened at around 11:20 a.m. on October 2. After school, he returned to his rented room and was preparing to cook rice. While he was washing rice in the water tank, another male student suddenly rushed out of the bathroom, hugged him, and bit his ear.
The person who bit off her ear was VMĐ (born in 2001, residing in Chau Ly commune). The two knew each other because they went to the same school, and Đ. also often came to T.'s rented room to play. "Đ. doesn't live in the same dormitory as me, but because he has friends here, he often comes over to play. Đ. and I have never had any conflicts or disagreements," said T. The incident was so sudden that T. didn't have time to react.
Because of the pain, I could only hold my ear, feel dizzy and collapse. Afterwards, the landlord and two friends in the boarding house took me to the hospital. When I woke up, I found myself in the hospital, one ear was severed. As for the earlobe being swallowed by D., I did not know, I only heard people talking about it.

Regarding the incident, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Anh Dung - Chief of Quy Hop District Police confirmed that the unit is investigating the case of a male student whose ear was bitten off by a friend.
Suspecting that D. had used marijuana and was high on drugs, the police in Quy Hop district took the student for a drug test, but the results showed that D. was negative for drugs.
