Male student weighing more than 100kg has a talent for comedy roles

(Baonghean.vn) - "Little Linh" - as friends often call Tran Nhat Linh, the 115kg guy has a knack for playing comedic roles in school plays and most recently in comedy video clips that have been enjoyed by the online community.

Over the past year, a series of short comedy clips by the Nghe Comedy group released to the online community, especially to the people of Nghe An, have made a strong impression. The short films mainly revolve around issues inherent in the life and culture of the people of Nghe An: language, speech, customs, place names... In particular, the role of the guy "Little Linh" played by Tran Nhat Linh left many emotions for the audience.

Tran Nhat Linh (born in 1991), originally from Ha Tinh. Linh is currently a final year student of the Geography Department (Vinh University). Linh has had a knack for comedy roles, cross-dressing since school. With a "superior" body, a humorous personality, and a bit of artistic "blood", Linh was given comedy roles by teachers and friends in every play organized by the Geography Department.

Linh's roles always bring refreshing laughter to the audience. Because of the appearance, gestures and even the words of the "little" boy, there is something that makes the audience feel interested when watching Linh perform. Linh's first chance to come to comedy was when he played the role of Tru Bat Gioi in a script of the Geography department at the "Students with vocational skills training" contest in the 2015-2016 school year. The role of "little" Linh helped his Vocational Training team "win" First Prize.

Recognizing Linh’s comedic ability, in the following competitions, his faculty continuously nominated Linh for similar roles. Linh played a cross-dressing role in the play “Stars Change House”. Just like the previous time, Linh’s participation and performance attracted a large number of people from the entire school to watch and support. Afterwards, the Vinh University Youth Union also asked Linh’s group to perform the play again.

The small, humorous roles made the 115kg guy start to love his "acting career". Linh started to practice his gestures, eyes... in front of the mirror to match the roles. And as if by chance, Linh was introduced by friends to roles with strong Nghe comedy in short clips of a group of young people making comedy films, a series of short comedy films that have been receiving strong response from the online community in recent times.

Acting at school is different from being in front of the camera. At first, Linh was stunned and stiff in front of the camera. But gradually, with her love for comedy, Linh practiced diligently and was continuously chosen by the comedy crew to appear in video clips.

Linh's roles have always been well received, supported and loved by the online community. Many times, while sitting somewhere drinking water with friends, Linh was always approached by audiences who loved her, asking to take pictures with her, asking about herself and so on... "At those times, I felt so happy!", Linh humorously shared.

The comedy video clips that Linh participated in the series of Comedy Nghe always have the highest views, likes, and comments on YouTube and Facebook pages. On YouTube, the clip "Model Dream" has more than 113 thousand views, "Tag Mango" has more than 74 thousand views, "Rescue Beauty" has more than 76 thousand views, "Crazy Girl" has more than 73 thousand views...

Little Linh is investing more and more effort into his next roles. Linh confided: “Now, I am practicing a lot, to create my own unique style in my roles”. Linh is “addicted” to the stage, being applauded and cheered, he is both happy and uses that as motivation for his roles.

The "little" Linh said he has never felt self-conscious in front of others. Linh proudly said: "My body is what my parents gave me, so I always feel proud of it."

Few people know that this guy who weighs more than 100kg only likes to eat rice with eggplant and soup. However, Linh's weight still cannot be reduced. Many times, Linh went to the gym, walked but then the weight was back to the same.

“I will continue to perform comedy roles for the comedy group and even if someone invites me. Of course, I will still find a job after graduating. I work to support myself, and comedy is still an indispensable part of my current life,” Linh sincerely shared.
