21 year old man suspected of jumping off Ben Thuy bridge to commit suicide
(Baonghean.vn) - At midnight on July 29, people discovered a motorbike and a pair of sandals left on Ben Thuy 1 bridge, suspecting a suicide, so they called the authorities.
At 00:30 on July 30, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police received information that someone had jumped off Ben Thuy 1 bridge. The Department mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police team on the river to quickly dispatch forces and vehicles to the scene.
Through verification, the person who jumped off the bridge was NVT (born 2002), residing in Van Trung block, Hung Dung ward, Vinh city.
At about 2:30 a.m. the same day, authorities discovered NVT's body under the bridge (near Ha Tinh province) and proceeded to salvage the body to shore.
