Young man went to fight and was hacked to death by his opponent in the middle of a corn field

On March 26, the police of Phuc Tho district (Hanoi) said that Tran Van Phuong (22 years old, from Hai Phong) had turned himself in and confessed to slashing someone in a corn field; other people involved continued to be hunted down to clarify the case.

According to the police, on the afternoon of March 25, Phuong and three other young men were driving a car on Provincial Road 421 (through Hiep Thuan Commune) when a group of 20 people chased them on motorbikes. After being repeatedly thrown bricks and stones, Phuong's group drove the car away onto nearby Rang Nhan Street but were blocked by about 10 other young men.

With no way back, Phuong and the other three people grabbed shovels and knives and rushed in to counterattack, forcing the enemy to run away.

Just a few minutes after returning to his friend's pawn shop, Phuong's group was attacked by Do Hoang Dat (27 years old, from Tuyen Quang) and about 10 young men with knives and swords. Phuong shouted for his accomplices to counterattack, forcing Dat's group to run to a nearby cornfield.

According to the statement, Dat was slashed many times in the head and body by Phuong, so he died on the spot.
