Young man kills man with stab wound through thigh

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 12, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, said that the investigation agency had arrested Phan Tien Duc (born in 1997), residing in Hung Chinh Commune, Vinh City - identified as the suspect who directly stabbed to death Phan Huu Kien (born in 1997), residing in Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District on the night of July 11.

According to the investigation agency, the case was initially determined that at around 9:00 p.m. on July 11, Phan Tien Duc was standing with his friends on the roadside near the intersection of Ho Han Thuong and Phan Dinh Phung streets in Cua Nam ward (Vinh city). At this time, Phan Huu Kien was driving his motorbike to this area and had a conflict with Duc. The two sides exchanged words and then a fight broke out, Duc suddenly pulled out a sharp knife from his person and stabbed Kien in the right thigh.

After being attacked, Kien ran about 200 meters with his wound until he was discovered by two friends in the group riding a motorbike behind him. The two friends took the victim to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, at 4 p.m. on July 12, the victim Kien was diagnosed with a severed aorta in his right groin and died.

The case happened at night, Vinh City Police coordinated with PC45 (Provincial Police) to organize an investigation, focusing on many investigation teams. At 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, when Phan Tien Duc was hiding in Cua Hoi area, Cua Lo Town, he was arrested by the police.

The initial statement of the suspect Duc at the investigation agency said that there was a sudden conflict between the perpetrator and the victim, before that they did not know each other at all.

Tonight, after completing the file and initial statements, Vinh City Police will transfer the case file to PC45 Department for further handling.
