Young man admits stealing safe containing 100 taels of gold

Bao confessed that he and his accomplices broke into a luxury house in Tan Binh district, carried a safe home, broke it, and stole nearly 100 taels of gold and tens of millions of dong, then divided it up to spend.

On June 23, Tan Phu District Police (HCMC) arrested Le Quoc Bao (26 years old) to investigate the act of Property Theft.

Previously, the Tan Phu district special police team patrolling on Au Co street (Phu Trung ward) discovered Bao showing off many tattoos, riding a scooter... Knowing he was being followed, he sped up on the street but was later stopped by the detective for inspection.

Bao could not produce the vehicle registration. In the trunk of the Air Blade, the police found many lock-breaking tools, pliers, iron bars and pipes, lock-breaking kits... The young man admitted that he had just stolen this motorbike from a house on Nguyen Minh Chau Street (Phu Trung Ward, Tan Phu District). Bao also confessed that he and his accomplices had committed a series of other thefts in Ho Chi Minh City.

The most successful time was breaking into a house in alley 781 Lac Long Quan (Ward 10, Tan Binh District) to steal a safe. After bringing the safe to one of the group's homes, they broke it open and stole nearly 100 taels of gold and tens of millions of dong. The group divided all the stolen property among themselves and spent it on fish shooting games for money.

According to the victim's report, the assets in the safe are about 3 billion VND. The police are expanding the investigation.
