The reason Duc stabbed O. was because he thought O. was trying to break up the relationship between Duc and his girlfriend named N. (currently N is a student at Hue University).
After stabbing O, Duc grabbed the victim's motorbike and went to Tran Thanh Mai street (An Dong ward, Hue city - where Duc temporarily resided), then left the motorbike and took a car to Da Nang.
Upon receiving the news, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police coordinated with Hue City Police to quickly investigate and clarify the case.
By the afternoon of the same day, knowing he could not escape, Duc went to the police station to surrender.
