Improving the quality and diversity of professional and journalistic activities in the new situation
From the achievements, the Journalists Association of the North Central provinces sets the goal of continuing to innovate and promote the diversity of professional and journalistic activities in 2025 and the following years.
On the morning of December 4, in Vinh city, the Association of Journalists of the North Central provinces held a conference to summarize 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
Attending the conference were comrades: Pham Truong Son - Deputy Head of the Association's Working Committee, Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and leaders of the Journalists Associations of 6 North Central provinces.

Many outstanding results
Competition clusterAssociation of Journalists of North Central Provincesincluding 6 member units: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue. The total number of journalist members currently active in Associations and Clubs in the Emulation Cluster is 1,657 people.
In 2024, Nghe An Journalists Association will take over as Head of the Emulation Cluster.
Implementing the action plan of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the content of the emulation agreement signed by the Cluster in 2024, the units in the emulation cluster have closely followed the professional tasks of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the political tasks of the province, constantly innovated, improved the quality of the Association's activities, and built an increasingly strong Association organization.

The team of journalists, members and journalists in the area have strong political will, are proficient in professional skills, and meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The Journalists' Associations in the cluster have fully and responsibly participated in the Central Press Awards and won many high prizes, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Journalists' Association and press agencies in the North Central region.
Typically, at the 18th National Press Awards in 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association won 12 high prizes. Along with that, the Local Press Awards always receive enthusiastic attention and response from journalists, members, and journalists in the area. The quality and scale of the Awards are increasingly improved.

In addition, the Journalists Associations in the Emulation Cluster have coordinated well with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, departments, branches and sectors in the province to successfully organize the Press Awards on "Party Building"; "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", "Skillful mass mobilization"; "For the cause of Great Unity"; "For the cause of Vietnamese Education"; "For national security and peaceful life"...
In addition to professional activities, the Provincial Journalists Association has done a good job of mobilizing sponsorship, visiting families with meritorious services, poor but excellent students; supporting the fund for building houses and giving gifts to poor households, families with meritorious services, and households with difficulties with a total value of up to hundreds of millions of VND.

Continue to innovate forms and improve quality of operations
Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association emphasized that 2025 is a year with many important events for journalists nationwide in general and the North Central region in particular such as: 100th anniversaryVietnam Revolutionary Press Day(June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); Welcome to the 12th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Journalists Association, term 2025-2030 and welcome to the Congress of Journalists Associations at all levels of local Associations, term 2025-2030.

In response to practical requirements, the Journalists Association of the North Central provinces agreed on 10 important goals for 2025 and the coming time. In particular, it focuses on enhancing the leadership role and coordinating operations in press activities in the area, especially strengthening the inspection and supervision of compliance with the 2016 Press Law; 10 Articles regulating professional ethics and Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists.
At the same time, closely coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies in directing, providing and orienting information for press agencies and journalist members to operate in accordance with their principles, purposes and the law. Do a good job of fostering professional expertise for journalist members, improving their professional skills, ethics and mettle in the new situation. Perform well the role of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of local journalists.

In addition, develop programs, action plans, innovate the content and form of association activities, and activities of the Emulation Cluster in a practical and effective manner, and fight formalism. Strictly implement the 2016 Press Law, the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the 2018 Cyber Security Law, 10 articles of the Code of Ethics for Vietnamese Journalists, and the Code of Conduct for Vietnamese Journalists on Social Networks.

Continue to implement Directive No. 43/CT-TW dated April 8, 2020 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation"; Promote the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies".
The conference reviewed and unanimously proposed that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the Emulation Flag to the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association, and Certificates of Merit to the Ha Tinh Provincial Journalists Association and Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association.
