Vietnam Journalists Association offers incense at Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs Cemetery and presents gifts in Anh Son district
On the afternoon of July 17, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude" working group held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery; and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and armed forces in Anh Son district.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association, there were comrades: Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Duc Loi - former Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and former Permanent Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Journalists Association: Le Quoc Trung, Ha Minh Hue and representatives of organizations and leaders of units under the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ngo Duc Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Colonel Pham Dinh Trung - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

On the side of Anh Son district, there were comrade Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee and comrades in the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee.


With an area of nearly 7 hectares, the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs’ Cemetery is the resting place of 10,804 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos. Since its establishment, the cemetery has received and cared for nearly 11,000 remains of martyrs who died on the battlefield in Laos, including nearly 7,000 graves with unknown names and hometowns.

At the Martyrs Cemetery Vietnam - Laos, in addition to martyrs from Nghe An, there are also martyrs from Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Bac Giang...

In a solemn, respectful and emotional atmosphere, the Vietnam Journalists Association and delegates offered incense and offered prayers to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude to generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the noble international revolutionary cause.



With deep gratitude, the Vietnam Journalists Association in collaboration with Petrolimex Insurance Corporation (PJICO) presented 2,000 Vietnam - Laos flags to the Management Board of the Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery.


Vietnam Journalists Association, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank), TH Group, Vietnamese Stature Fund, North Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Thong Nhat Hanoi Joint Stock Company and Tek4TV Technology Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Anh Son district to organize a ceremony to present 3 gratitude houses and great solidarity houses to families of people with revolutionary contributions and families in difficult circumstances; presented 10 tablets, 20 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND; presented 20 Thong Nhat bicycles and 20 gifts to poor students who have overcome difficulties in the locality.




Besides,Program "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude - 2024"also donated 100,000,000 VND to Phuc Son Border Guard Station, under the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command to contribute to the implementation of the "Plan to build an economic development model to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty for people in the border area of Phuc Son commune" and donated 01 computer set, 01 television to police officers and soldiers of Phuc Son commune.

These are meaningful gifts, gratitude and encouragement that the Vietnam Journalists Association and sponsors send to families of people with revolutionary contributions, families in difficult circumstances, poor but studious students, and officers and soldiers who are day and night firmly protecting the "fence" of the Fatherland.
