Improve the quality and effectiveness of press works on Party building

(Baonghean.vn) - "Increase the creation of journalistic works that are highly practical and have a high influence on Party building to improve the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work in this field" - That is the opinion of comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at the working session to launch the national journalism award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle) in 2017.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee informed the results of the first Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2016. It affirmed: Thanks to the timely leadership and direction of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committees of agencies, units, and press agencies, the work enthusiastically responded and achieved positive results with 01 work winning the B prize (Strengthening the political system of special regions - Nghe An Newspaper), 01 Encouragement prize (Secretary Moong Thai Phien - Political Department, Provincial Police) and 01 work participating in the final round (Nghe An implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo - Nghe An Radio and Television Station).

Representatives of the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies have contributed many ideas to improve the quality of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award. The leader of the Provincial Journalists Association said that: Although the first Golden Hammer and Sickle Award had remarkable results, compared to the potential and strengths of Nghe An, it still did not meet the requirements. He suggested that press agencies proactively coordinate with the Journalists Association to urge reporters and collaborators to participate strongly to have more and better quality entries to honor typical examples and new factors in Party building work, promptly and widely disseminate the contest rules and open a column responding to the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award on their publications.

The representative of the Department of Information and Communications proposed to open a Golden Hammer and Sickle column on the province's electronic information page; open training courses for reporters and collaborators on skills and techniques of writing for Party building; have a timely commendation and reward mechanism to encourage collaborators and reporters to participate.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: In order to achieve high results in the response to the National Press Award on Party Building - Golden Hammer and Sickle Award 2017; at the same time, create a spread, motivation to improve the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work on Party building, it is required that: The Provincial Journalists Association, the Department of Information and Communications, press agencies in the whole province develop a plan to continue to disseminate and implement the award; motivate and encourage the team of cadres, party members, reporters, editors, and collaborators to stay close to the grassroots to increase writing and creating journalistic works that are highly practical and have a high spread in the fields of Party building. In which, priority is given to timely posting of the entries, considering this a key political task; selecting excellent works to participate in the award.

On the part of the Provincial Party Committees, districts, cities, towns, agencies and units, strengthen coordination; discover new issues, factors, and outstanding results in Party building work to proactively provide them to press agencies for implementation; continue to pay attention to and honor collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to propaganda activities on Party building, especially authors and groups of authors with outstanding press works that contribute to Party building and building a clean and strong political system, as the purpose and meaning of the Award set forth.
