Exciting festival 'Spring border guards warm the hearts of villagers' in border commune
(Baonghean.vn) - Nhon Mai Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) has just coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and philanthropists to organize a series of activities in response to the program "Spring Border Guard Warms the Hearts of the Villagers" in 2024.
Attending the program were comrade Le Thi Hong Nga - Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the side of Tuong Duong district, there were comrades Nguyen Van Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Tuong Duong District Party Committee; Dinh Hong Vinh - Chairman of the District People's Committee and representatives of district-level departments and offices; representatives of commune and village leaders. The program also had the participation and support of benefactors and sponsors.


On the morning of January 20, the program's Organizing Committee presented 330 gifts to poor households and policy families in Nhon Mai commune, each gift worth from 500,000 to 700,000 VND; cut the ribbon to inaugurate 2 water filtration systems supported by the Party Committee of Central Agencies in Ho Chi Minh City for Nhon Mai Border Guard Station and Mai Son Boarding Secondary School.

On this occasion, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station connected with its sister unit, Vinh City People's Committee, to support 25 solidarity houses for 25 poor households (worth more than 1 billion VND) in Nhon Mai and Mai Son communes. At the same time, the Station also presented 2 combined military-civilian livelihood models to 2 extremely disadvantaged households in Nhon Mai commune (worth 100 million VND); presented 12 gifts and 54 million VND to students under the program "Helping children go to school - adopted children of the border guard station"; presented 2 oxygen ventilators to 2 medical stations in Nhon Mai and Mai Son communes (worth 40 million VND).

Previously, on the morning of January 19, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with Mai Son Commune People's Committee and sponsors to present 150 gifts to 150 poor households, each gift worth 700,000 VND.

As part of the program's activities, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station also organized many activities to celebrate Tet and welcome Spring with local people such as cultural exchange, art performances, bamboo dancing, throwing con, Khac Luong gong, etc.
