NATO quietly releases secret report praising Russia's strength in Syria
While the West often criticizes the airstrikes carried out by Russia in Syria as "inaccurate" and causing damage to civilians, an analytical report by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) acknowledges Russia's superiority over the armies in the bloc.

At the same time, NATO also praised Moscow for the "precision and effectiveness" of its air strikes.
Sputnik News reported the information on March 5, citing a confidential NATO report that was obtained by the Focus Online news site.
Estimates in the report also suggest that the effectiveness of air strikes carried out by the Russian air force is greater than that of NATO forces.
The report pointed out the high level of professionalism of the Russian military, adding that airstrikes carried out by Russian pilots had a much greater impact than those carried out by NATO air forces.
The report also noted that the number of combat aircraft deployed by Russia in Syria is “clearly inferior in terms of numbers” to those deployed by NATO. However, Russia’s greater number of airstrikes makes their operations more effective.
The secret document said that 40 Russian fighter jets based at Latakia base carried out up to 75 sorties per day, each time carrying out “precise and effective” air strikes. Meanwhile, NATO forces, despite having up to 18 fighter jets, carried out only 20 air strikes per day.
The report also points out that Russia uses more modern fighter jets than NATO in Syria. For example, the Su-35 fighter jet is much more modern than other aircraft in its class.
In addition, Moscow also uses data sent by Syrian air intelligence and Russian special forces to provide information about strategically important ground targets to the Russian Air Force./.
