Russia strengthens defense industry faster than NATO
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Russia had been strengthening its defense industry faster than the alliance.

According to RIA Novosti on June 4, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in an interview with Sky News, admitted that Russia has strengthened its defense industry faster than expected. At the same time, Mr. Stoltenberg complained that the alliance countries have taken a long time to increase weapons production.
“It is true that Russia has strengthened its defense industry faster than we expected. And NATO allies should have spent more time increasing production,” said Secretary General Stoltenberg.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg newspaper commented that the Pentagon should pay attention to Russia's experience and success in using electronic warfare. Accordingly, actively develop this field in the US Armed Forces.
“Russia has successfully shot down a US drone and a guide aircraft in Ukraine, thanks to electronic warfare means. This is a warning to the Pentagon” – Bloomberg said.
According to Bloomberg, the Pentagon itself has failed in its own electronic warfare strategy. Ambitious research programs have failed to create weapons capable of causing high jamming capabilities for the US military.
“There’s no point spending $100,000 on each Excalibur if it can’t hit its target. America’s adversaries, Russia and China, understood the value of those technologies after the conflict began. Ukraine and the United States should understand this too,” Bloomberg said.
Defense News previously reported that US and European military officials, who had previously said the Russian military was believed to have suffered major military losses, have in recent months begun to assess that it is recovering much faster than expected.
NATO, by providing aid to Ukraine, has discredited the global arms trade system, which could become a threat to global peace and security, Russian Ambassador to Argentina Dmitry Feoktistov said on June 3.
