In early October, Assange, on a television conference in Berlin, promised to release “important data” on the governments of the three countries and on the US election by the end of the year. On Wednesday, 26 parts of Podesta’s secret correspondence appeared on the website. The Clinton campaign said that the organization had received the documents from the Russian Federation.

"The Clinton campaign has been fueling McCarthyism that Russia is to blame for everything," Assange said in an interview with RT. "Hillary Clinton has repeatedly made false claims, such as that 17 US intelligence agencies came to the conclusion that our information came from Russia. This is not true. We can say that the Russian government is not the source."

"I really feel sorry for Hillary Clinton, because I see her as someone who is torn by her own ambitions. Tormented to the point of starting to get hurt, even losing her sanity because of her own successive ambitions."

Julian Assange rose to fame in 2006 with his work on the WikiLeaks website, founded to publish classified documents. In 2010, the website began releasing 250,000 US diplomatic documents. Since 2012, Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
