Speaking to Dozhd TV channel when Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the annual ASEAN Summit in Singapore, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed: "The fact that the United States has recently become unpredictable is obvious to everyone."

"Such unpredictability of the largest country, the strongest economy in the world, is a subject of deep concern globally," Mr Peskov added.

The above comments were made by Mr. Peskov two weeks before the direct meeting between President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Putin at the summit of the Group of 20 leading developed and emerging economies (G20) in Argentina.

US-Russia relations have hit a new low as US officials plan to impose new sanctions on Moscow in response to the poisoning of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in the UK.

Western governments have accused Russia of being behind the plot to poison the former spy and his daughter with a nerve agent. However, Russia has repeatedly denied all related allegations./.
