Russia raises cooperation to a higher level with the US on the Syria issue
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 13 that Russia is looking to increase the level of bilateral cooperation with the United States in resolving the Syrian crisis.
President Putin said that there is a need to cooperate more with the US in sharing intelligence information so that the two sides can inform each other of attack targets in Syria, in order to avoid unnecessary collisions.
To make the fight against terrorism effective, it is necessary to encourage domestic forces to cooperate to destroy the common enemy and then consider a political transition solution, Mr. Putin emphasized.

President Putin also said that he had proposed holding a high-level military meeting in Moscow or Washington, but so far has not received a response from the US. In addition, President Putin emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with regional countries such as Jordan, Türkiye, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates in the fight against IS.
The Kremlin leader once again affirmed that Russia's actions in Syria are in full compliance with the UN Charter and international law, and that Russia only wants to help fight terrorism, the enemy of the Middle East region and a threat to Russia, the United States, Europe and the world.
According to the latest report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the past 24 hours, Russian fighter jets operating with Syrian government forces have destroyed 86 more IS targets, including many command headquarters, ammunition depots, factories, training camps and many vehicles of the IS terrorist organization./.
