Russia denies allegations of interference in elections in the US and Europe
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said allegations that Russia interfered in elections in the US and Europe are completely “fictional”.
Speaking to the press in Moscow, Foreign Minister Lavrov emphasized that there is no evidence that Russia interfered in the 2016 US presidential election, as well as elections in European countries.

He added that there had recently been allegations that Russia was behind the appointment of ministers in South Africa, but this was just a limitless “fantasy”.
Foreign Minister Lavrov made this statement in the context of the investigation into suspected Russian involvement in the 2016 US presidential election entering a new phase, after US special prosecutor Robert Mueller launched a series of accusations against two former members of President Donald Trump's election team, Mr. Paul Manafort and an associate. However, in the October 31 trial, these employees denied all accusations.
Suspicions about President Donald Trump's ties to Russia have cast a shadow over the first months of his presidency.
So far, President Donald Trump has denied all allegations that his campaign team colluded with Russia and condemned all investigations into the matter./.
