Russia ready to restore comprehensive arms control dialogue with the US
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on January 9 that Moscow could not imagine the US completely withdrawing its forces from Syria in the current situation.

"I cannot imagine that, given the current situation - in the context of Washington's aggressive pursuit of world domination, trying to be everywhere and solving problems only according to its own 'rules of the game' - the US would suddenly announce that it would completely leave Syria. I cannot imagine such a situation," Ryabkov said.
At the same time, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said that Moscow wants to resume bilateral dialogue with Washington on arms control in the near future.
“I would like to restore a deep, comprehensive dialogue on arms control in the near future. We are also working on this issue,” Mr. Ryabkov said.
Asked whether the Russian Federation was ready to discuss the missile issue with the United States, the diplomat replied: "Definitely."
