Russia will build submarines superior to current ones

The construction of the advanced multipurpose nuclear submarine of the "Khaska" project will be included in the state program for the development of weapons (GPV) for 2018-2025.

Vice Admiral Victor Bursuc, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy in charge of armaments, said at a scientific conference within the framework of the National Defense Maritime Exhibition in St Petersburg.

"Development work on the Khaska submarine, which is the fifth generation of our submarine fleet, is included in the state program for the development of weapons (GPV) for 2018-2025," Bursuc said.

He stressed that the fifth generation submarine of the "Khaska" class will surpass all indicators of current submarines.

"Especially in the main indicator of stealth, at least twice," - said the Deputy Commander of the Russian Navy in charge of armaments.
