Russia will respond appropriately to the US deployment of additional expeditionary troops in Poland.
It will be impossible not to respond to the deployment of additional US troops in Poland, Russian military experts are analyzing the risks of the troop increase and drawing up appropriate countermeasures, - said Leonid Slutsky, head of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma.

"The deployment of additional US troops in Poland will obviously have a response. Russian military experts analyze all risks, assess potential consequences and plan appropriate countermeasures. It is clear that the US military deployment tactic only creates tension and inflames confrontation on the European continent," Slutsky told journalists.
He also noted that the US is actively exploiting the myth of the “Russian threat” as a pretext to move its weapons to Russia's borders.
“Washington is playing a dangerous game, systematically carrying out military expansion on the territory of Eastern Europe,” the Russian parliamentarian added.
