The head of the Federal Department for the Storage and Destruction of Chemical Weapons, Valery Kapashin, told "Interfax" that chemical warfare agents will be destroyed a year ahead of schedule and six years ahead of schedule in the United States.
According to Mr. Kapashin, early completion of chemical weapons disarmament will save about 2 billion rubles. To date, Russia has eliminated 99.7% of chemical weapons.
