Russia agrees to quickly normalize relations with the US

The Russian Federation has always been in favor of the rapid normalization of bilateral relations between Russia and the United States, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We consistently support the push to quickly overcome the 'dark period' in bilateral relations. We want to normalize Russian-American relations," Peskov told reporters.

Asked to comment on the FBI's decision to investigate who hacked the Democratic Party's email server (a representative of Hillary Clinton's campaign staff claimed that the party's server was hacked by Russian hackers apparently to help Republican candidate Donald Trump), Peskov replied that "it's actually a bit American."

"I would like to note: first people accuse, then declare their desire to investigate. There is an absurdity here. And we in Russia are used to first conducting an investigation and then accusing someone of some mistake. We consider it more reasonable and more accurate to do so," Mr. Peskov said.
