Despite the fact that there are many contradictions between Russia and China and they will never become formal allies, they are still ready to establish an East Atlantic Alliance capable of countering the US and NATO.

According to Jeff Hawn, a commentator for The Hill, the West believes that there are currently many obstacles between Russia and China that prevent them from forming a strong alliance. For example, historical mutual hostility, territorial disputes, as well as competition for influence in Central Asia.

However, Mr. Hawn noted, Russia and China's distrust of US policy allowed the two countries to overcome all these contradictions and sign mutually beneficial agreements. He also believes that Russia and China could have established an "East Atlantic Alliance" against the West, an organization similar to the alliance established in the early 20th century, which later turned into NATO.

The main advantage of cooperation between the two countries, the author adds, is the fact that neither poses an existential threat to the other. They will not “graft” each other into their political systems, and any rivalry is built around land and resources. While the West promotes its ideology and structure as the only right thing.

Additionally, Mr. Hawn stated that Russia and China are former empires that see themselves as victims of Western countries' games and their goal is to end America's world dominance through cooperation and ensuring economic growth and security for themselves.
