Russia claims to have shot down Ukraine's Mi-8 helicopter, missiles and drones
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the country's air defense system shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter, missiles and drones within the framework of a special military operation on March 12.
"Russian air defense systems near the settlement of Temirovka in the Zaporizhia region and Dvurechnaya in the Kharkov region shot down two Mi-8 helicopters of the Ukrainian armed forces. In addition, Russia also intercepted seven HIMARS and Uragan missiles, destroying a Ukrainian drone near the settlement of Chervony Mayak in the Kherson region," Konashenkov said.

Russia destroyed a Ukrainian Gvozdika self-propelled gun in the Kherson direction during the attack, the official added.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that since the start of the special military operation in February 2022, the country has destroyed 400 combat aircraft, 220 helicopters, 3,385 drones, 4,011 air defense systems, 8,275 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,055 multiple launch rocket systems, 4,326 artillery and mortar systems, as well as 8,879 special vehicles of the enemy. Ukraine has not yet commented on Russia's above statement./.
