As Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, Russia is paying attention to an information campaign from Western countries aimed at portraying Moscow as a threat to the settlement process in Ukraine. Peskov did not rule out that this campaign is a disguise to cover up "possible aggressive thoughts in Kiev."
In a related development, the press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service called the US State Department's information about the Russian military buildup on the border with Ukraine a lie. According to the agency, "Recently, Washington officials have been actively threatening the international community with accusations that Russia is preparing for an "aggression" against Ukraine. The US State Department, through diplomatic channels, has been providing allies and partners with false information about Russia's military buildup in Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service is deeply concerned that “such propaganda is provoking the Kiev regime to build up its military forces in Donbass and continue shelling civilian targets. The United States and its allies continue to arm Ukraine, encouraging the use of the supplied weapons, including unmanned attack systems, for military provocations.”
The Russian foreign intelligence agency reminded of Georgia's war with Russia in South Ossetia in 2008. As a result, Georgia quickly lost after 5 days./.
