According to Mr. Putin, even if the Russian armed forces continue their anti-terrorist operations in this Middle Eastern country, the scale of deployment will be much smaller than before. This is also the reason why Russia is gradually withdrawing troops and equipment from Syria.
Also yesterday, the Arabic-language news network AMN (based in Lebanon) reported that the Russian army has transferred dozens of modern T-90 tanks to the Syrian army in recent months.
According to the news agency, Russia has delivered at least 40 T-90 tanks to the Syrian army since early October this year.
This number of tanks is enough to form an armored battalion. With the support of the Russian air force, the Syrian army has liberated 98% of the territory from terrorist groups in the past 2 years./.
