On August 20, the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, is temporarily detaining a 31-year-old Taiwanese passenger to investigate the act of illegally transporting military equipment and military uniforms by air.
At noon the same day, while checking the luggage of the above passenger who was preparing to leave Ho Chi Minh City for Kaohsiung (Taiwan), customs forces discovered a series of guns and military equipment.
The working group made a record of confiscating 79 100% new pistol grips, 2 military transmitters, gas masks, and weapons.
In addition, customs forces also found used M79 shell casings, AR15 shell casings, grenade casings, military backpacks, and NATO military uniforms...
Authorities said these are items banned from import and export according to regulations.
