(Baonghean.vn)- Going to a sidewalk restaurant to eat sticky rice, seeing two young men forcing a young woman to drink beer in the middle of the night, a commune youth union official tried to stop him but was blocked and severely beaten, had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on November 28, near the Karaoke bar "Sing for each other", number 48, Nguyen Sy Sach street (Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city).

According to Nguyen Dinh The (born in 1993), residing in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, at the above time, he went to a sidewalk sticky rice shop near the karaoke bar "Sing for each other" to have a late night snack and discovered two young men forcing a young woman to drink beer.

However, the girl cried and refused to drink, then she left behind a tree and walked to a nearby alley.

Suspecting something was wrong, Mr. Thế followed the young woman and the two young men to the alley and saw one of the two young men taking the young woman somewhere unknown, the other also turned around and drove away. When Mr. Thế was on his way back to the Kakeore restaurant, he was attacked by some young men who were near the restaurant and knocked unconscious.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh The recounted: “When I was near the karaoke bar, a young man shouted “this guy just slashed me with a knife”, so the young men nearby rushed in to beat me, even though I told them I didn’t hit anyone and didn’t have a knife, but they didn’t let me off. They pulled the motorbike down, then used rocks, hands and feet… to hit me on the head and face, dragging me down the street until I passed out”.

After being beaten unconscious by a group of young men, Mr. The was taken by a taxi to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. There, doctors performed a CT scan of his head for diagnosis and treatment. Currently, Mr. The's hands, head, and face are still aching and he has difficulty moving.

It is known that Mr. The is a cadre of the Youth Union of Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district. Previously, when he was a student at Vinh University, Mr. The participated in catching robbers many times and returning lost property to the victims.

Currently, the case has been reported to Hung Phuc Ward Police (Vinh City) for investigation and clarification.
