Ngan Thi Van Su: 'The whole team competed with the spirit of national pride'
(Baonghean.vn) - Sharing before the training session this morning (July 29) of the Vietnamese women's team, young midfielder Ngan Thi Van Su expressed her determination to compete hard and hopes to contribute to the national team in the upcoming match.
The Vietnamese women's team will have one more match in the group stage of the 2023 Women's World Cup finals, against the Netherlands women's team at 7:00 p.m. on August 1 (local time).
Sharing about being given the opportunity to compete in important matches of the Vietnamese women's team, Van Su said:“I think that if I practice hard, the coaching staff will see and trust me to give me a chance. The coaching staff also creates conditions for young athletes.”

Although she is one of the small players in the Vietnamese women's team, this young midfielder always has confidence in competition.“I think nothing is impossible. Participating in the Women's World Cup this time is a great honor. Van Su also added: "I also want to send a message to young people that if you stay strong, keep a strong spirit and be confident, everything can be done."
Looking forward to the match with the Netherlands women's team on August 1, the young striker from Nghe An shared:“Coach Mai Duc Chung and the coaching staff also reminded the team to temporarily forget the previous matches to focus on the next match. My teammates and I will follow the tactics set out by the coaching staff and try to play better in the match against the Netherlands women's team.”

“If given the opportunity, I will try harder. From the past matches, I have also learned a lot for myself, such as not being able to hold the ball for long, being pressed by the opposing team and easily getting injured. In those situations, I will try to pass the ball back and forth, and coordinate better with my teammates. The whole team will try because everyone expects to play and contribute for the country.”

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have two more training sessions in Auckland this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. On the morning of July 31, the team will travel to Dunedin to prepare for the match on August 1./.
